Sponsor Licence Compliance Review (Remote)
Sponsors must follow the duties outlined in the Sponsor Guidance. Failure to do so can lead to action from UKVI, including sponsor licence suspension or revocation. The Sponsor Guidance is updated frequently and is both extensive and complex. As such, a sponsor should review its practices and policies regularly to ensure they are compliant with the Sponsor Guidance.
UKVI may perform a sponsor compliance inspection as part of a new sponsor licence application or at any time throughout the period in which the organisation holds a sponsor licence. The purpose of UKVI’s review is to determine whether or not the organisation is complying, or capable of complying, with the sponsor duties.
Inspections may be undertaken by way of a visit to the sponsor, which may be announced or unannounced, and/or via other means such as requesting that the sponsor provides specific information to UKVI by email and/or by undertaking checks with third parties such as HMRC.
If your organisation is due an inspection from UKVI, or the organisation wants to check its compliance, we offer a remote, or on-site, sponsor compliance review.
Remote Sponsor Compliance Review: How we can help
To carry out our remote sponsor compliance review, we request copies of documents and information from the organisation. We then analyse this information and perform a mock interview with key personnel.
Our immigration solicitors will compare the organisation’s practices and policies with the latest guidance and information from the Home Office, as well as drawing on their own knowledge of working with sponsors, including successfully assisting sponsors that have been investigated by UKVI for compliance breaches.
In-depth feedback is then provided including advice on any improvements we recommend.
